Jim Chowdry is a Member Ambassador based in the BayArea focusing on client relations. Before working for Toniic he worked for Confluence Philanthropy as a Program Manager focusing on education and outreach primarily with foundations, CDFIs, and High Net Wealth Individuals. Prior to this, Jim spent time in the ocean conservation space educating the public about issues facing the oceans using immersive technologies like virtual reality and 3D printing to create interactive experiences aimed at creating empathy for the ocean and its inhabitants. He has worked with scientific and academic partners such as National Geographic, Smithsonian, and The World Bank. Jim also has had experience working in the family office space implementing SRI initiatives. During this time, he incorporated a“Divest, Invest” framework into existing portfolios as well as performing due diligence and educating board and family members on the advantages of investing in Socially Responsible Investments. When he’s not working You can catch him going to concerts around the Bay Area. His favorite venue is the Independent. When he’s not in the city Jim enjoys hiking in the Marin headlands and snowboarding at Lake Tahoe. He is also an avid scuba diver and you can find him underwater searching for the elusive nudibranch or trying to capture the perfect shot of an acrobatic sea lion.
