Daniela is a strategic communications leader with over 15 years of experience in Canada’s social impact and public sectors. As Toniic’s Director of Strategic Communications, she is focused on keeping the network’s global community informed, connected, and equipped for action.
Prior to Toniic, Daniela served as Senior Director of Communications at British Columbia’s largest private sector union and as a Senior Associate at one of Canada’s leading strategic communications firms. She also spent three years advising cabinet ministers in the Government of British Columbia.
Daniela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication and Marketing (Summa Cum Laude, Walton Scholar). She grew up in northern Mexico and has lived and worked across three countries. That experience sharpened her sense of how language, culture, and context shape what people hear. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Outside of work, she can be found on her gravel bike somewhere between British Columbia and Baja California.
