Member Support Associate, EMEA
Chia joined the Toniic team in 2020 as Member Support Associate supporting activities within the EMEA and APAC region. Chia grew up in a business family in Malaysia and is an entrepreneur herself. Prior to joining Toniic, she started a restaurant in Malaysia, a lunch delivery service and before that worked as a donor and alumni relations executive in Singapore.
Apart from work, she is passionate about community building and co-organized TEDx and StartupWeekend events in her community. Chia is an active supporter of the arts community and enjoys volunteering her time to various causes. Chia has been a US State Department alumni since 2011 after being awarded the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study scholarship in 2011. She also received two Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) grants from the State Department in 2016 and in 2018 to organize community projects in Malaysia.
Born and raised in Malaysia, Chia earned her undergraduate degrees in Economics and Visual Arts from Pennsylvania State University and is currently pursuing her MBA in Germany. When she’s not glued to her laptop on another online class, she’s either spending time with her 6 nieces and nephews or trying to figure out the differences between the German articles: der, die, das, dem, den and des.
