Aqua-Spark is a global investment fund that invests in sustainable aquaculture businesses generating investment returns while creating positive social and environmental impact. The fund invests in small to medium enterprises that are working towards the production of safe, accessible aquatic life, such as fish, shellfish and plants, in a way that does not harm the health of the planet, and brings a high economic return.
Elizabeth Pederson is the General Counsel at Aqua-Spark. A lifelong social change advocate and former Peace Corps volunteer, Elizabeth founded the nonprofit Ms. JD and served as the President of the Board of Directors for six years, creating programs such as the Global Education Fund, which enabled women in Uganda to receive legal educations. Elizabeth holds a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School, where she graduated Order of the Coif with Pro Bono Distinction, a M.P.A. from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from Brandeis University.
